 It’s the Club that held more Argentine Opens after San Andres GC in history. Although the last one was in 1991, the course can still be a true test for the Pros. Apart from the Open, the course  has hosted all the main events in the Argentine Calendar more than once.

The Club won the Interclub First Division Championship 20 times – being still the biggest winner of the most important amateur event in the Country. The last victory was in 1981. The winning team was: Fernando Curutchet, Santiago Luis Arauz, Tulio Carlos Martini, Jorge Eiras, Santiago Luis Cardona, Roberto Patricio Benito, Luis Alberto Obarrio (h) and Martín Aguirre.

The club maintains the golfing society’s traditions and is usually called the best “Golf Club” in the country, not only because of the fact that it has inherited and maintained the British tradition for golf, or because its great course, but also due to the excellent relationship among its members. It’s definitely a course that visitors always want to visit.

The course record stands in 63 (-9) for Pros by Vicente “Chino” Fernández, followed by Luis Obarrio (h) Amateur, who scored a great 64 (-8) in 2011.

The Club Championship Trophy is named Emilio Mitre for Men (after one of the former Club Presidents). Luis Alberto Obarrio (n) and Federico Elortondo are the golfers who won it most times (8). The Ladies Trophy is named Golf Club Argentino, and Maggie Maglione is the one who won it most times.

The tournament schedule for members opens in March and goes until mid December.

Many other former Presidents, Captains and Committee Members are also honored with trophies with their names, like Ricardo Mackinlay, Alberto Anchorena, Benjamin Cornejo, Juan Bautista Segura, Carlos María Dibar, Alberto del Solar Dorrego, Julián Aguirre Lynch and Federico Elortondo, among others.
